This colourful, stylised painting was inspired by the very colourful mountains surrounding my home in New Zealand.  When the sun is out the grasses glow and the mountains cast their blue shadows and it is really a wonderful feeling of happiness to drive or walk through this wonderful scenery.  This little painting was done with water soluble oils and is on a treated timber panel finished with archival oils.  It would also look wonderful as a diptych or triptych with the little paintings above.
